About IBI Consultant Tao Yue

Tao Yue, born and raised in Shanghai, has lived in the Netherlands since 2000. She has a B.A. in English language and literature from Fudan University (1998) and an M.A. in social sciences (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam (2002). Her M.A. thesis, "Metaphysical Risk Management in Post-Maoist China," describes and explains the revival of folk philosophy and its influence on Chinese decision making.

Having worked as a journalist with Bridge News and Agence France Presse in Shanghai and an international programs manager at Leiden University, Tao is now the case writer at the Rotterdam School of Management. She has collaborated with Intercultural Business Improvement (IBI) on its China programs since 2005 and gives presentations on Chinese culture to business, government, and academic audiences. She also writes regularly for Radio Netherlands International.
